Wedge Shoes

Wedge shoes are different from any other shoes on the planet. This is because with most shoes the heel of the shoe sits only under the heel of the foot. That is where it gets the name heel from. However, with wedge shoes the heel can from the back of the shoe (where a heel would normally be) to the middle or even the front of the shoe. This gives the shoe a wedge look, and that is where wedge shoes get their name.

The biggest problem that people have is they think that platform shoes are wedge shoes. Although some wedge shoes may have platform soles, they are two completely different types of shoes. Whenever you put the two shoe types together you get the platform wedges shoes. The wedge shoes are shoes that are normally worn by women and have become some of the most worn shoes in the world. Although not everyone wears these kind of shoes, they are the fastest growing kind of shoe to date.
